Ways of Payment

Ways of Settling Electricity Payments

You can settle your advance payments and final settlement invoices for electricity by means of the following::

  • direct collection from an account;
  • bank transfer;
  • SIPO (Centralized Collection of Payments of Citizens);
  • “U” type postal money order
    (including the possibility of settling payments through Unikasa).

You can choose the way of payment when concluding the Power Supply Contract. If necessary, you can change it as follows:

Payments are considered as settled on the day of being credited to our account.

Direct Collection from a Bank Account

Payment by means of direct collection is the most comfortable and at the same time the safest way of settling your electricity payments. It is based on an automatic and regular clearing transfer of money from your account to the account of our company. You do not need to keep track whether the payment is settled within maturity date because direct collection does it for you. At the same time the payments are completely under your control.

You do not need to worry that the bank will deduct more from your account than you would like it to. You can determine the maximal amount of one payment when you set up the direct collection. We recommend that you set the upper limit of your direct collection amount to an amount that would be at least three times as high as the current amount of your advance payment. Thus you can prevent an unexpected outstanding payment at the annual periodic settlement in case you decide to increase the amount of your advance payments due to an increase of electricity consumption in your household.

In order to change the electricity payments to direct collection from an account, proceed as follows:

At your bank file a Request for Setting up Direct Collection (Agreement with Direct Collection). Then apply for the collection of money in favor of an account of our company, namely depending on the bank where you have an open running account:

  • VÚB, a.s. – 1583529153/0200;
  • Tatrabanka, a.s. – 2627718509/1100; Important notice! More ...
  • VOLKSBANK Slovensko, a.s., or other bank – 4350099416/3100.

Give your variable symbol as the specific symbol (a ten-digit number starting with 21, which you find in the upper right-hand corner of your invoice).

In case of direct collection from VÚB, a.s. and Tatra banka a.s., the change of the way of payment and the set-up of direct collection will happen automatically between the bank and VSE.

In case of direct collection from the other banks, send a copy of the Agreement with Direct Collection:

  • per post to the address: Východoslovenská energetika a.s., Mlynská 31, 042 91 Košice;
  • by fax to the number +421 55 678–6516 alebo
  • personally to any Customer Contact Centre.

In case of change in electricity consumption at your point of delivery, the amount of advance payments may be modified. It is necessary to inform your bank about the modification of advance payments.

Advantages of Using Direct Collection
  • payments between our company and the bank where you have your account are carried out automatically;
  • compared to payment by means of a postal money order or SIPO, you save postal costs, time, and apart from this, you do not need to keep track whether you settle the payment within maturity date;
  • compared to payment by means of one-time orders, there is no risk of settling a payment after maturity date;
  • in case of an overpayment we will automatically transfer the appropriate amount back to your account within the deadline according to your invoice maturity.

Bank Transfer (Payment Order)

This way of payment makes it possible to settle monthly advance payments as well as final settlement invoices. In order to settle the monthly advance payments, it is necessary to place a standing order for payment with the variable symbol (a ten-digit number starting with 21, which you find in the right upper corner of your invoice).

In order to cover an outstanding payment, place a one-time order for settlement. The overpayment of your final settlement invoice will be sent back to your account (please inform us about your account number at the above-mentioned contact data).

In case of a change of monthly advance payments, it is necessary to notify the bank about this fact and modify the standing order accordingly.

SIPO

Centralized Collection of Payments of Citizens (SIPO) is a common payment document by means of which you settle several regular payments (for gas, electricity, rent, etc.). You can settle the payment by means of a clearing transfer from your account (informative blue collection slip), at the counter of any post office (green collection slip) or through a mailman (purple collection slip).

“U” Type Postal Money Order

You can settle the payment at any post office by means of “U” type postal money orders. In case you settle the electricity payments by means of postal money orders, we will send you the filled in postal money orders regularly along with the periodic invoice for the annual electricity consumption. You can request the postal money orders by phone on the Linke VSE 0850 123 333.

Unikasa

This is a new way of settling electricity payments by means of money orders. You can settle your payments directly at the cash register of selected COOP Jednota stores. You only need to do the following:

  • visit any of the stores of the COOP Jednota store chain marked by the logo Unikasa (list of stores);
  • submit a money order for the settling of electricity payments from our company;
  • you will pay the amount for the bill in cash or by credit card.

The new form of payment works based on the principle of reading the data from the bar codes stated on the money orders. Therefore it is not possible to use money orders filled in by hand. The settled payment will be credited to the account of our company on the following working day. Therefore the payment needs to be settled one working day before maturity date at the latest. Save a copy of the confirmation from the terminal equipment as well as the receipt about the payment of the amount from the cash register in case of complaints.
