VSE – Stable and Caring Employer
Východoslovenská energetika a.s. (VSE) is one of the largest employers in Eastern Slovakia. It is a part of the international RWE Group that is one of the largest utility companies in Europe. VSE employs over 1.550 employees in various professions: electricians, analysts, businessmen, financiers, project engineers. We offer work and secure the selection of employees also in our subsidiaries – VSE IT služby, s.r.o. and Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s. and VSE Call Centrum.
Working Environment at VSE
Our goal is to create a working environment that is based on team work, motivation, and open communication. We share common values: trust, reliability, customer orientation, performance and forward-thinking. Quality and diligent work, loyal approach, initiative, and the willingness to gain more education are important for us. It is important for us to gain and keep quality and motivated employees.
We actively support the increase of qualification and the personal development of employees:
- we perform various training activities and development programs;
- we create individual solutions for school graduates (programs Practice and Trainee), for groups of professions, talents, and managers;
- we provide professional international internship to employees in other companies of the RWE Group.
As an employer we gained several awards:
- we were awarded prices in 2001, 2002 and 2003 in the competition Family-Friendly Employer that is organized by the Ministry of Labour, Social Matters, and Family of the Slovak Republic every year three times;
- in 2008 we received an HR Oscar for the project “For Families” the main goal of which is to help employees to harmonize their private and professional life as well as possible;
- we were also awarded a price from the Association for the Development and Management of Human Resources for the project “Adaptation” in 2007. The goal of this project is to support the new employees during their beginnings in their work at our company.
